Fun but hard!

Decent first flash game! Good graphics, and the controls seem pretty solid, but it seems way too damn hard to beat at all. I must have played through three times and he just beat my ass every time. The status bars are a bit confusing - you might want to clarify that a bit. Other than that, this is an awesome game for a first!

HappyJoeLucky responds:

Thanks! The best way to beat him is to hold down block (Shift) key most of the time while you find your range, then explode with a few combinations, then continue blocking and dodging. He used to kick my ass too, but now I stomp him all the time.

The small health bars track health before a knockdown. Each time a fighter falls, one of the bigger health bars diminishes. 3 Falls = death. I'll add that into the instructions for the final version. Thanks again!

Fun, fun game!

How inventive! That's damn challenging work! I can tell you had fun making those sadistic levels. The problem is - I... can't... stop... trying... That level 10 is a bitch! I can get all the way past the giant ball of purplies, past the zig zag, and the fast-pitched alternating squares, but that damn "The End"! That thing just disappears too fast! Arrgh! That's a sign of a good game - I must've done it a 100 times and still can't get it JUST RIGHT. Nice work.

AcidDimensions responds:

Ya - levil 10 is a lot harder dan levil 9. Sins it was de fainal levil, ai wanted to maik it sumfing dat givs yoo a sens of acomplishment wen yoo manij to do it.

Don't burst your bubble

Good, basic game. Would make a decent banner ad - like those damn cashmonkey ads I keep seeing... Grr... anyway, as a game though, it's kinda annoying that the playing field is so small... at the speed they go some are nearly impossible to get. And add some sound and a victory screen. Good job.

Shakermaker responds:

It would make an allright banner, but hey its better than the get $ for hitting the monkey things. The reason the playing field is so small, is BECAUSE it is a banner (tada!). At first, I thought i had made it too hard too, but after i played it a couple of times i managed to get them all.
Sound would increase loading period, which isn't so good if it's settled as a banner on every page - and the victory screen... i just didn't feel it was that important.

Sweet!

Extremely promising! This is almost the whole game in itself, sans the sound, lives, and enemy fire. The only other annoying point is that the celing and floor blocks fade out too quickly. That sounds like a lot but in reality, you have 80% of the whole game right here. If you just had those other parts, this would easily be a perfect 10. I'm looking forward to future installments!

Do you think I shoudl upload my Version of Mario Duck shooting?

Good game with room for improvement.

Good idea for a game - great fighting moves and music, and points for improvement. Only in practice, you move forward FAR too slowly, and fighting is just a bit too simple - backwards, forwards, and attack. Other moves like block, jump, kick, punch, or stuff like that would be cool. And make it easier to gain points. By the third guy, I hadn't even garnered enough for 1 powerup, and he was kicking my ass.

Thank you very much guys, your comments are so supportive, I appreciate that very much. Just want to inform you as Compdude reviewed that the main problem about this game is the slow gameplay, I sense that this problem came often if your pc is not fast enough to process the heavy animation, my suggestion is to close other tasks while playing this game to free some memory space or reduce the game quality (you can do it at the options screen). But if it still too slow for you then actually I made this game too slow x). Thank you for the notice, your comments and critics will sure be my primary consideration in my future works.

Good so far

It's a good start, for sure. The graphics are good, the animation funny, the sound, for what you have, is all right, and the controls work pretty good so far. All you really need is a one player vs. computer mode, special attacks, more room to back up and go forward (ala Mortal Combat), less obscure character selection (besides Pico and E. Bob), and a three-round victory system. Aside from that, you're pretty much done. :)

raitendo responds:

I don't think the character selection is very obscure, both Ninjai and Genyu are quite well-known, don't you think? If I'll ever make a sequel to this, I think I'd also include Orderly (from Disorderly), a stickman (from xiao xiao or whatever), perhaps Samurai Kick-ass, and one of the guys from College University. If anybody has any suggestions for other characters to include, write a review!

Cute little game!

I thought it was cool! The gameplay is a bit easy, but definetly playable, the BGM is very Sonic-like, and the sound and animation on the ferrets is very adorable. I especially love that queen ferret's mannerisms. And is that Jose Ortiz as the special challenger? Wierd. Overall, nice job! I wish someone would make me a special game for christmas...

MindChamber responds:

Hehe Yep Thats Me:)...Im actually not that big, but I have gain some wieght of the years behind this desk:)

It's Simpsons Mayhem!

Decent work! This is definetly one of the best Trivia games I've seen on Newgrounds - it's particularly nice to seem some RANDOMIZATION in the questions, and not the same 5-10 questions every time. It keeps you coming back for more. Good choice of questions too - I thought you'd ask a whole bunch of stupid or incredibly-isolated questions, but they were just appropriately hard enough to be enjoyable. I'm such a Simspsons nut, so it only took me three tries to get all ten correct. Nothing like some hot Simpsons sex, if you know what I mean o_0
.
Some sound would be nice to go with this. Like a "Woo Hoo!" for getting a question right and a "D'oh!" for a wrong one. And this doesn't seem like 100 questions. I got about 50% of the same questions each time; maybe a few more in the mix would be good, or check your randomizer.
.
Overall, nice job!

Winthawk responds:

Trust me, there ARE 100 questions :P
Remember that because it's random you have just as much chance of getting the same ten as getting a different set, though the next version will have a mode to play through all 100.

If I've unfairly judged your movie, please tell me. I make every effort to be objective and thoughtful.
