More good work with 2nd installment

More good work here. I'd say this is just about equal in quality to the first movie, which is pretty high.

Same couple complaints though... a background would be kinda nice... it helps to reference where the characters are in relation to eachother.
*SPOILER*
And why'd you have to kill off the guy's brother, too? Can't the good guys win for once? *Sigh* This is still great work.
On to No. 3!!

Good solid fighting movie.

Nice. Fluid animaion, sweet moves, and plenty o' senseless violence. This is great stuff.

Just because I always like to speak both sides, I would make a few detractions. The characters are drawn a BIT sloppy (some rough edges), and the sound is a bit lacking. The blows sound like blows into a microphone. Plus, there's no background, though this isn't a major problem. It's almost cooler without one. And yeah, a story would have been nice by the first one.

But overall, a superb job. Keep it up.

Odd little movie... I like it

Strange movie... but good. I particularly enjoyed that theme song - catchy. Interesting animation style too. Poor Nasty though... so wife-whipped... what a pity.

Thanks, Compdude! John and I used to create dozens of cartoon characters and they all had their own theme songs. This one was one of my three favorites. We developed Nasty at Jumbo Pictures, which is now owned by Disney--pretty weird, huh?

Not bad.

Quite frankly, I liked Mawi I a LOT more than this one, but this one's still okay. I particularlly liked the whole joke with the Power Rangers; Zordon's line had me cracking for a while. The Xiao Xiao and Kami merge were also pretty funny.

But I got kinda annoyed after Power Rangers was done. The whole disco thing ran EXTREMELY long, and the German Darkwing Duck was REALLY grating. Ack.

Overall, a bit of odd pacing, but still a great job!

THANK YOU, man!

THANK YOU!!!! You did a damn good thing. At last, someone answers my prayers and resurrects my beloved Keeblur!! I whined and moaned at Stamper's foolishness... but now I can have my Keeblur again! Hooray!!!

Sadly, it's true

Sadly, it's true. You forgot the one that keeps blabbing about a low APR, as well. It sure is annoying as hell. But as much as I hate to say it, it may be a necessary evil. I'm not on the inside, but I'm guessing Newgrounds/Troma is DESPERATLY in need of funds... that probably explains the proliferation of ads, the incessant downtimes, and the loss of the BBS for the last five days. If this gets them the $$ they need, I can bear the crappiness.

Powerful movie

This is truly among the great emotional works on Newgrounds. The story is simple, yet conveys a deeply moving story of a man, a battle, and life itself.

The meaning can be taken many ways, and many have been expressed. But here is how I see it. I see it as a story of a man, who for some reason, must leave home to fight a battle, much to the sorrow of his beloved. Yet once he has defeated his opponent, he is overcome with sorrow when he realizes he has in a sense, slain himself. For his opponent holds clasped round his neck a picture of himself and his OWN beloved. The hero realizes how similar they both are, and how no one is the lesser man. And so, our hero realizes that violence serves not to protect us, or our beloved, but only to destroy others and the ones that they love. Now THAT'S what I call a powerful message.

The animation's not all that, especially the mouth movements, but that's hardly the focus of the movie, and can easily be overlooked.

And yes, I did cry as well. How could you not after seeing such a truly moving epic?

Because I was so inspired, I went to Blind Guardian's website and copied the lyrics for the song. It seems even more profound to me to read the words after seeing the movie. Great job, Charlie. You have a truly beautiful dream.

**LYRICS**

Now You all know
The bards and their songs
When hours have gone by
I'll close my eyes
In a world far away
We may meet again
But now hear my song
About the dawn of the night
Let's sing the bards' song

Ref.:
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
Noone will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow will take it away
The fear of today
It will be gone
Due to our magic songs

There's only one song
Left in my mind
Tales of a brave man
Who lived far from here
Now the bard songs are over
And it's time to leave
Noone should ask You for the name
Of the one
Who tells the story

Ref.:
Tomorrow will take us away
Far from home
Noone will ever know our names
But the bards' songs will remain
Tomorrow all will be known
And You're not alone
So don't be afraid
In the dark and cold
'Cause the bards' songs will remain
They all will remain

In my thoughts and in my dreams
They're always in my mind
These songs of hobbits, dwarves and men
And elves
Come close Your eyes
You can see them, too.

Cute little movie

Well, I like Zelda, and I like kooky sound files, so this is right up my alley. No extra points for the music (since you didn't make it), but a fairly good job of putting it to a Flash cartoon. I like all the little comments that everyone makes (if you're fast enough to read them). Not bad work.

It's SO true.

Oh my. This is SO TRUE. I wouldn't be suprised if 90% of the chat-room population were either horny 13-year-old boys, or horny 40-year-old men. Eww.
Anyhow, good short-and-sweet work here. But then again, it IS a bit TOO short. A few more funny jabs at chat room users would go a long way. But, as is, it's just a snippet of a movie.

If I've unfairly judged your movie, please tell me. I make every effort to be objective and thoughtful.
