Amazing.I can't believe I'm this touched by Mario.
My God.. this is... beautiful. I don't know exactly why, but in addition to finding it humorous, violent, and graphically stunning, I also found this movie to be incredibly, powerfully artistic!
I'm serious. Maybe it's the powerful Rachmaninoff. Maybe it's the movie's excellent coordination to and interpretation of that music, or maybe it's the depressing and uplifting moments of despair and triumph that make it so great. The artwork is both cartoonish, yet brimmed with force and emotion. The fleshing out of the characters gives previously two-dimensional Nintendo characters a sense of depth and humanity. Even the movie's title indicates the powerful emotive currents that underlie this movie.
Maybe it's just that I've always hated Luigi, and I've always wanted to see that green fruity bastard get the shaft. That rotten bastard always beats me in Mario Party 2, it's time he got his just commuffins.
At any rate, I could go on forever. I don't know exactly why, but this movie touched me. I'm literally getting teary-eyed here, and I usually don't get misty for much of anything.
Thank you man. Thank you for such a great NG movie. You touched me, and I really mean it.
