High style and spotty delivery.

It's a hilarious and delightfully clever movie idea that falters a bit in the delivery. On the plus side, this is about as good a parody I could imagine with the idea you've chosen. You've really managed to mix two otherwise unrelated media. The dialouge between Cats and the Captain is a riot.
.
However, the lyrics and animation are very repetitive. This really can't be helped due to the limited source material. Also, the graphics are also a bit crude; those color gradients stick out like a sore thumb. So I really enjoyed it , but you really did have to stretch things out to fit a ~6 minute song.

TmsT responds:

And I even edited some of it out! ^_^

Great concept, needs pacing work.

I absolutely love the concept - bringing artistic culture to NG in a demented way. And while the comedy is great, it also quickly becomes stale. Little changes between most fadeouts, and Davinci's man laughs for far too long. Basically, with a little more variety and quicker pacing, this would be comedy gold.

Broachbros responds:

See, that was all part of my scheme. The man laughs so much that the audience gets irritated and rejoices when the thinker hits him. Get it? eh? eh? eh, your probably right. I'll work on my timing. =)

Needs more creativity.

While I like the Bard's Song, this movie isn't that much different from the original version to stand on its own. The art's been touched up, and I suppose a play button is nice. But the storyboarding is completely the same, and the animation is still sparse (a fault that bothers me from the original). I DO like the improvements, but it just needs more creativity.

Magna responds:

Why should it be very different from the original? The style of this is much different from the original. The pictures in the are Jpegs, imported into flash that were drawn by hand. They weren't 'touched up'.

Ho ho splat.

You have a wonderfully creative and demented mind. I'll bet you're the kind of person who goes out and tells all the kiddies that Mall Santa isn't real. Keep up the good work. Thank you for your bastardization of two irksome Christmas figures. Keep it up.

TmsT responds:

No, no, not at all.
I'm the kind of person who gets somebody to dress up as Santa in the mall, and then I run in with a fake chainsaw and pretend to slay Santa, with lots fake blood and guts. It's much more traumatic that way.

A worthy tribute.

An excellent tribute to Madness Combat that mangaes to be similar in style without being a blatant rip-off. The animation's not quite as good as the original, but the creative violence is very well thought out. Fighting El Diablo is a great spinoff of fighting Jesus. I hope you make that movie!

toxicbomb responds:

Hahah thanks! Umm... im not sure what you are saying. You hope I make what movie? That one that you just watched??? Im really confused now haha....

Ninjas are great comedy fodder.

Delightful combination of stereotypical ninja concepts with hokey comedic moments. The animation was basic, but didn't hinder the creative process. This work reminds me a bit of College University and its ninja capering. Great job; I'd love to see some of those other listed goals put to flash!

damnhooligan responds:

Ah, finally, someone noticed! College University's Dark Ninja and Kung Fu Karl were BIG inspirations for this piece.

Gleeful.

Simply masterful. You sir, have a delightful talent for mixing graphically violent artistry with a deliciously cruel sense of humor. Bravo.

Dan545 responds:

Gleeful can also be used to describe me every month upon arrival of a new issue of highlights for kids. It is surprisingly well written for a children's magazine.

Now that I got my own subscription, I can stop taking them from the doctor's office.

Good violence.

Not your best, but still rife with funny violence. It's a little unclear though what unleashed the assault.

Sherbalex responds:

The coffee man, the coffee did it! And I havnt forgotten about our convo, and the lab idea hehe. I still brainstorm about that every other day.

Bar brawling fun.

It's pretty stupid, but I can't resist a bunch of drunken blue clay blobs beating the crap out of eachother. The voices could stand to be more varied though. Good stupid fun.

Knox responds:

yep..

Needed more story.

Decent artistry and concept - but it suffered from lack of story, like you said. I guess I was looking for more explanation behind the action.

scr4ppy responds:

I am thinking of doing a prolouge, but I am not good in telling stories

If I've unfairly judged your movie, please tell me. I make every effort to be objective and thoughtful.
